Inn on Biltmore Estate Reveals a New Look:
Guest Room Enhancements Planned for Winter 2009
Starting this winter, Inn on Biltmore Estate will undergo its first room makeover since the Inn's opening in spring 2001. Each of the 213 rooms will receive interior design updates and bathroom enhancements. Key elements in the project include an all-new color scheme and soft goods, as well as custom designed products from Biltmore For Your Home, the company's branded products division. The new rooms will debut on March 1, just in time for the Biltmore's beautiful spring season.
All enhancements will be made while the Inn is still open to guests this winter. Blocks of rooms will be closed to expedite the project while preserving the guest experience; however, a significant amount will be open for reservations. The guest room transformations will include:
- Custom bedding: including signature "green" mattresses, adding additional pillows, and replacing all linens and duvets.
- In keeping with the Biltmore's mission to be environmentally focused, lights will be equipped with Energy Efficient fluorescents instead of incandescent bulbs. Carpets and many fabrics in the guest rooms will be made of recyclable materials.
- New window treatments in warm, neutral colors.
- Luxurious carpet with residential feel and quality.
- Vanderbilt inspired upholstery with custom patterns.
- Large plasma televisions, and launch pads for recharging personal equipment and audio/video connections.
- Custom bathroom fixtures: including new lighting and framed mirrors.
